Following the fall of Afghanistan to Taliban, reactions have trailed the decision of Biden-Harris administration to withdraw US troops from the country. It has however become a battle of who is be to blamed between Donald Trump who started negotiations with Taliban to withdraw US troops from the Arab country and Joe Biden who finally saw to the withdrawal.
Joe Biden had said it would be better to be criticized now for such decision on Afghanistan than pass the burden on to the next President of the United States.
He further blamed Ghani’s government for the fall of Afghanistan, maintaining that American troops can’t be dying in a war that the Afghans themselves are not willing to die for.

“I know my decision on Afghanistan will be criticized. But I would rather take all that criticism than pass this responsibility on to yet another president.
“The withdrawal would be guided by facts on the ground. After I took out ISIS, I established a credible deterrent. That deterrent is now gone. The Taliban no longer has fear or respect for America, or America’s power.
